  • You should register here to attend the 2023 IASA Conference & ICTMD Forum either in person or online.
  • Presentations will either be delivered in person or as pre-recorded videos. In-person presentations will also be recorded and made accessible to registered delegates after the conference.
  • Anyone who wishes to attend any of the conference sessions, including the talks, workshops, or social events must register. This includes all speakers, guests, exhibitors and sponsors. 
  • Some events have limited capacity. We advise you to register early and to also take advantage of the 'early bird' prices.
  • Registrations must be pre-paid online in Euros, through the IASA shop, by credit card, by bank transfer or by PayPal. Late payments will be accepted at the conference Registration Desk.
  • Your conference registration is not confirmed until your payment has been received by IASA.
  • The prices tabulated below are in Euros and are per person. Visit www.xe.com for current exchange rates.

 

REGISTRATION - IN PERSON

The registration fee for in-person attendance includes:

  • attendance at all sessions from 11th-15th September, including spoken papers, discussion panels, posters and plenary sessions, open committee meetings, and workshops.

  • attendance at the evening reception on Monday 11th September.

  • one professional visit on afternoon of Wednesday 13th September.

  • coffee breaks and lunches on 11th-15th September.

  • online access to recorded sessions after the conference.

  • attendance at the IASA General Assembly (IASA Members only).

The registration fee does not include the conference dinner and Bosphorus tour, for which there is an additional €40 charge.

The Single Day registration fee entitles registrants only to the full benefits and events held on the day for which they are registered. You will need to select your preferred days when registering online.

 

REGISTRATION - ONLINE

If you are not able to attend in person, please join us online. You will be able to attend some of the live and pre-recorded presentations, panel discussions, keynotes and plenary sessions. You will be able to comment and ask speakers questions via Zoom video conferencing. In addition, through our Sched event scheduling software, you will be able to communicate with colleagues from different countries who will attend this conference.

The registration fee for online-only attendance offers video and audio access via Zoom to:

  • all presentations given in Doctorate Hall 1: the Keynote paper, plenaries, and approximately 40 papers and discussion panels over 5 days.

  • online access to recordings of all sessions after the conference.

  • attendance at the IASA General Assembly (IASA Members only).

Important notes:

* A IASA or ICTMD Member registration is available only to currently subscribed and paid individual and institutional Members of IASA or ICTM. Not a Member? Join IASA or Join ICTMD (opens a new window). Note that membership applications or renewals can only be confirmed after payment is received.

** A Student registration is available only if, after you have registered online, you e-mail a scanned copy of your valid student ID card with expiration date to the IASA Secretary General secretary-general@iasa-web.org. Students wishing to attend the conference and receive all benefits including attendance at the welcome reception and transport to professional visits, must register in advance online. Registered student attendees have the above benefits and priority seating at all events.

*** An accompanying person registration is for spouses/partners who accompany another person registered as a Member or as a non-member.

**** A local archivist or ethnomusicologist is a Turkish professional employed in the field of ethnomusicology or audiovisual or sound preservation in a recognised archive, university, library or museum in Türkiye.

 

Cancellations policy: full refund if cancelled before 11 August 2023; 50% refund if cancelled before 15 August 2023; no refund if cancelled after 1 September 2023.
